Today, the office work can not lack the role of computer. It helps us finish many tasks in office. Working with computer for many hours will have bad effects on your eyes. Thus, you should know how to protect your eyes from these impact to maintain a healthy eyes.
Take eye breaks. Relax your eyes, just close your eyes for a few minutes when your work requires prolonged data input into the computer. It is very simple activity but helpful. Then look away from your screen every 15 minutes – if not more. Look at something close up and then something far away, to help exercise your depth perception. It’s especially good to look out a window when searching to concentrate your eyes on something in the distance.
Don’t forget to blink! When gazing at a computer screen we tend to blink about five times less than usual. Blinking may seem like an unimportant action, but it lubricates eyes so they work smoothly. We often tend to focus on the work and forget to blink that causes eye dry.
Eye-excercise. Eye exercises seem silly, but they help. You should do them in a private place like in the bathroom; take a minute to do diagonals, eye circles, and long blinks.
Keep eye drops handy. You ought to do drops a few times a day.
Change your workstation so the words you are reading are at eye level – you shouldn’t have to look up or down to see your screen. The screen must be about an arm’s length away. Your back should lay flat against the back of your chair. Sitting properly will also help avoid neck strain.
If you can, take real breaks. Go outside. Breathe fresh air. Do some tender excercise. These short activities are really great for your body and mind as well as your eyes.
