That is interesting about the new info on breastfeeding. I have always felt like I produce less milk than the guidelines say I should be producing, but my ds is growing like a weed and generally very happy, so I guess it’s working out ok for him. My biggest problem is the 45 minute nap, and having NO way to get him to go back to sleep at night without feeding him. We tried the cio methods and to say it was a disaster is putting it mildly. The boy can cry for 3+ hours without going to sleep, or he would fall asleep for 10-15 minutes and wake up screaming over and over and over again until I finally pulled him into bed with me (we’re generally not co-sleepers). The BW method seems to be just what we needed as a family to make this sleeping thing work. I’m sooooo happy that I found it! 🙂
Yesterday we dropped from 7 feedings to 6 and he seems to be fine. If the routine continues today I think we’ll be down to 5 in 24 hours. I’m really hoping this does not create another nighttime feeding.
